Commissioners pass vote of no confidence on Minister of State for Finance

State Commissioners of Finance have expressed their anger
and disappointed over the continuous negligence and attitude
of the Minister of State for Finance, Dr Yerima Ngama as he
has continuously exhibited the attitude of un-seriousness on
his primary duty.
The Commissioners who were in Abuja for the usual monthly
Federal Account Allocation Commission (FAAC) registered
their anger while speaking with the press, urging him to
device another way of handling the FAAC meeting as well as
the date and stop pushing for the anger.
When confronted on the issue, the Chairman, Finance
Commissioners Forum Mr. Timothy Odaah who spoke to
DAILY TIMES correspondent said, "This is total breach of the
FAAC Act of 1992 which states that "there will be technical
session day preceding the Commissioners forum, this will
enable us to have enough time to discuss with the office of
Accountant General".
On the issue on sanction on the minister having breached the
Act that sets up FAAC, he said " for now, am not going to
speak on his behalf as I don't know what is delaying him,
until he comes and explain to us the reasons behind his
absence".
Another commissioner (Name withheld) who expressed his
displeasure on the attitude of the minister said, "This
minister is the most unserious minister of state we have ever
had".
The countenance on the faces of Commissioner who have
been kept up till 6:37 PM. Shows that they are not happy with
the attitude of the minister.
The commissioners, out of anger obviously walked out of
venue resolving to reconvene on a later date for the
continuation of the discussion.
